Full-Time Director of Estuary Science and Restoration

The Delaware Center for the Inland Bays (CIB), a National Estuary Program, invites applications for the Full-Time Director of Estuary Science and Restoration (DESR) The DESR works under the supervision of the Executive Director and directs the Center’s research, monitoring, and environmental restoration programs. The DESR supervises direct reports and leads teams of staff, partners, contractors, and volunteers to plan, fund, and implement a research and restoration project agenda to support the Inland Bays Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan, including updates to the Inland Bays Environmental Monitoring Plan and State of the Inland Bays Report.

Full-Time Watershed Coordinator

The Delaware Center for the Inland Bays (CIB), a National Estuary Program, invites applications for a Full-Time Watershed Coordinator. The Watershed Coordinator works under the supervision of the Director of Conservation and Watershed Planning and is responsible for supporting the activities of the Watershed Program. The Watershed Program is responsible for coordinating activities necessary for the large-scale implementation of the Inland Bays Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP) and the Inland Bays Pollution Control Strategy (PCS).

Part-Time Environmental Education Specialist

The Delaware Center for the Inland Bays (CIB), a National Estuary Program, invites applications for a part-time Environmental Education Specialist. The Environmental Education Specialist works under the direct supervision of the Manager of Environmental Education and collaborates with Center staff, volunteers, and interns to develop and deliver research-based lessons and interactive programs for diverse audiences in the Inland Bays watershed. This includes youth and public programs at the James Farm Ecological Preserve as well as off-site such as at K-12 schools (in and after-school). The Environmental Education Specialist will also assist with curriculum development, program advertisements, and maintaining event registrations.

Engineer V

This position serves as a subject matter expert for the Delaware Sediment and Stormwater Program (SSP) and is responsible for reviewing and approving sediment and stormwater management plans for state and federal projects for compliance with appropriate requirements under the SSP. This position would also be responsible for providing engineering expertise to conservation districts, municipalities, and designers, and technical guidance and assistance to other state, local, and federal agencies as well as public and private organization and individuals.
